Within an interdisciplinary framework, my scholarly area of ethnomusicology, a synthesis of music and cultural anthropology, fits ideally with my full-time teaching in comparative sociology, rural studies, music and psychology.

This paper shows how arts education with immersion and service-learning breaks down barriers of prejudice and distrust in an international study tour context in Ho, Volta Region, Ghana.
